Overview

Scopus is a comprehensive, source-neutral abstract and citation database curated by independent subject matter experts. Scopus quickly finds relevant and authoritative research, identifies experts and provides access to reliable data, metrics and analytical tools.

Scopus indexes content from more than 26,000 active titles and 7,000 publishers—all rigorously vetted and selected by an independent review board. Users get access to thousands of titles, millions of author profiles and 1.8 billion of cited references.

Searching Options

Document Search

Documents include journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, articles in press and data papers.

Author Search

When you search by authors, you can search by last and/or first name. You also have the option to search by ORCID iD.

Affiliation Search

When you search by affiliation, just type the affiliation's name. The search will begin to auto-populate.

Cited Reference Search

Scopus provides the ability to search the list of cited references in articles, books, etc. If the reference which you are starting with is very relevant to your research, other related publications have probably cited references which are also relevant to your research. Cited reference searching is a useful extension to your standard keyword search.

Browse Sources

Scopus Sources page allow you to browse the list of all journals, book series, trade publications and conference proceedings available on Scopus.

Working with Results

The Analyze search results function provides an analysis of document counts to help you evaluate your results, and these can be downloaded or exported to Mendeley, RefWorks, or a file format compatible with your reference management software.

Working with Author Information

Scopus Author Profiles allow researchers to showcase research output, demonstrate impact and collaborations. Also, researchers are able to revise and update their Scopus Author Profiles in order to get accurate citation metrics for your publications based on Scopus.
